About the Tribunals

The Tribunal Service is a department of the Court Services of the Judicial Greffe established to hear certain types of claims and appeals under various laws.

It must act independently without giving any legal advice.

It is a free service and parties are not required to be represented by a lawyer.

The Tribunal administers the following claims and appeals: Employment and Discrimination, Social Security, Health and Safety, Mental Health and Capacity, Planning and Charity.

Most hearings are open to the public.

Most Judgments are posted on the Jersey Legal Information Board Website.

The Tribunal cannot award legal costs.
